HMP Garth, for TiPP
A participatory mural painting project.
I worked with people incarcerated on the drug and recovery unit to create a mural for their group room, where wellbeing and AA meetings take place. Participants wanted the mural to represent the ups and downs of recovery but to evoke an overall sense of hope for those that access support there.
Participants were guided through movement based painting methods and reflective writing exercises to create the completed mural.
