Ruminating, for Peshkar Arts

A participatory, creative health project for neurodivergent young people.

Over the course of four weeks, I delivered an expressive painting project for a group of young people who identify as neurodivergent. I designed the project to aid rumination thought loops through participation in expressive painting.

Engaging with expressive painting shifts your focus from internal thoughts to external movement; it can encourage you to play, to create, to express, transforming internal thoughts into external sensations allowing your mind to drift away from the clutches of rumination.

The young people worked on collaborative pieces on paper and independent works on canvas.
